There are now three modes (But will be more in future).

Cobblestone 

If selected  the breaking stone or Cobblestone  without silktouch gives op item.

Stone

After breaking only stone with silktouch gives op item.

Both

After breaking Cobblestone and stone with silktouch  oor not gives op item
